De Bron`s Cherry Gums contain around 40% fewer calories than ordinary sweets and only contain 0.2g of sugar. Instead of sugar, so-called sugar substitutes are used, which are known as polyols. They do not convert into sugar and therefore do not have to be counted as bread units. In fact, it does contain calories, but they have no effect on the blood sugar level. The Cherry Gums are made without preservatives and without lactose or gluten.
